DIY Spa Date

We discovered this relaxing date night the last time we moved. You don’t even need those little foot baths, though they are welcomed. We simply tossed some bath salts/bubble bath in the tub and popped a squat on the side of the tub. I lit some candles, had jazz playing, made some drinks, and had some snacks. What more could you ask for?

Sigh of relief in a photo.

Get Physical

Did you know when you workout your body releases endorphins? Probably. Well this is one of the reasons we like to make a date
out of exercising. Depending on the weather, we like to hike or
go to the gym.
Exercising together offers a shoulder-by-shoulder experience which may be less intimate but still offers a bonding experience. To round out the date, we love to go to our favorite local smoothie joint to replenish while enjoying some conversation.

Wine Down Date

If you’ve ever been to a wine and cheese night, you know! If not, it’s high time you come to know and enjoy a good wine and cheese night. Who better to enjoy a new experience with than the one you’re dating! At first you may say “Wine & Cheese? I thought this is about cheap dates.” But let me introduce you to ALDI. We love ALDI and their selection of cheap wine and cheese. If you don’t have an ALDI nearby, 1. I’m sorry and, 2. Be on the lookout for coupons and specials for cheese and wine at your local grocers. There are plenty of discount grocers besides ALDI, it was just a game changer for us when we were first introduced.

Oh and don’t forget candles. Always candles. They give an instant mood and show effort. Unless you have a fear of open flames.

Just add cheese.

Pic-a-Nic

It’s not too complicated, but very effective. Start with finding a nice location, a nice park will do just fine. Add in food, a blanket, and cold (or warm depending on weather) drinks and you’re good to go! If you want to add an interesting twist, make food for each other and see how things go! Just make sure to check the weather ahead of time!

Lakefront picnic.

Tourist Your Town!

It’s somewhat self explanatory. However, if you aren’t sure what tourists do in your town; take to Google, or even Pinterest, and type in your towns name. BOOM! Sometimes all it takes is a little paradigm shift to open up a whole new world of date ideas specifically targeted to where you live! Find the historical area in your town and discover your towns roots. Bonus points for a chilly day plus hot chocolate or coffee!

So glad we were born in FL!
