“We must be willing to get rid of the life we’ve planned so as to have the life that’s waiting for us.”
Joseph Campbell
Let’s Fondue
Use a muffin tin to easily divide ingredients. For the melty bit think milk chocolate, dark chocolate, even cheese if you want a savory option. For the dippers think strawberries, pound cake squares, marshmallows, pretzels, grapes, broccoli, black berries, etc. The options are only limited to your imagination! If you want to add even more, research which wines will go with different flavoring combinations and have them on hand to wow your date.
Bed Service
Breakfast in bed! I love breakfast, I love my bed, and I love someone making food for me. Pancakes, croissants, waffles, or a muffin is a great base for your platter. Add in fruit salad or sliced fruit, some coffee and juice and you’ve got an A+ breakfast! To go over the top, add a single flower in a small vase, mimosa, and mood lighting. Enjoy!
Hammocking, Party of Two
It doesn’t matter what brand of hammock you purchase, just who you share it with. For this date you’ll need a hammock big enough for at least two people, hammock straps, a sweet location, and preferably wonderful weather. You’ll want to steer clear of rain and heat, unless you specifically enjoy hot, sticky, skin-to-skin contact in close quarters. Add snacks are desired – enjoy!
Planners Gonna Plan
Whether it’s your next vacation or next party, putting time aside for you both to sit down and day dream about your next fun experience- can be a fun experience in itself! Take to Google, Pinterest, or whatever your favorite idea search engine is and take off! Go all the way and snag some old magazines that you can cut out ideas and paste them on an inspiration board. Get excited and try to remember this is supposed to be a fun date time for you two to get excited about the future, so try not to worry about *shudders* money during this time (save it for later).
The Great Dating Cook-Off
Get your competitive juices flowing for this next date! Research
(together, for fairness) a new recipe that neither of you have made.
Grab the ingredients at the store, and the race is on! Alternatively, look in the cupboard and see who can make the most out of what’s on hand. Either way, whoever makes the best dish wins dessert made (or bought) by the loser.
